Each community is as diverse and unique as the natural world that surrounds it. From the cities of Aberdeen, Hoquiam and Cosmopolis, to the resort destinations of Ocean Shores and Westport, to the charming North Beaches and stunning Lake Quinault area, this unique area of Washington offers a wide variety of activities and experiences for visitors and residents.

Outdoor enthusiasts can surf, hike, bike, or go fly a kite. Those looking for cultural and urban amenities will also be happy to find museums, theaters, art galleries and a wide choice of shopping venues.

The shelter of the northern Cascades and Olympic Mountain ranges and the moderating effect of the Pacific Ocean offer a gentle climate with year-round moderate temperatures and warm, dry summers and mild, moist winters. Seasonal changes won’t shut down this area – they just present another shade to the multi-colored palette that these communities offer.
