Clint Walker - Editor in Chief

Clint Walker got his first break in the publishing business when he was hired as a staff photographer and writer working on various automotive-related magazines. Within two years, he had worked his way up the corporate ladder to the position of Technical Editor for Car Audio & Electronics magazine. Soon after, Clint was the Editor of Home Theater BG, Home Theater Interiors and other consumer electronics magazines. At the age of 25, Clint was the youngest Publisher in the history of Petersen Publishing. In 2001 following the .com bust, Clint and his wife Alisha started their own publishing company, publishing two national magazines, DVD ETC. and HDTV ETC.—these were the humble beginnings of what is today His & Hers Magazine Group. Clint has parlayed his experience in consumer magazine publishing to also establish a reputation as one of the top marketing minds in the country having initiated and managed projects for companies such as Land Rover, C.C. Filson, Orvis and others, earning him national awards and special speaking appearances. Clint laments, “I know how to market products to people…but I really wish I could learn how to market flies to trout…then I would consider myself successful. I guess I just need more practice.” Clint is an avid flyfisherman and can be found playing fetch with trout in his spare time, along with Alisha and their two kids.

Alisha Walker - Publisher

Alisha Walker began her career in print publishing in 1997 with Auto Sound & Security magazine as Managing  Editor—a position she has held on numerous nationwide newsstand publications in categories ranging from consumer electronics to outdoor recreation. During the .com era, Alisha was an Acquisition Manager under the Buy.com corporate umbrella before leaving Southern California in 2001 to start a publishing company with her husband, Clint. In 2005, Alisha founded the Montana Card Company (www.MontanaCardCompany.com) to showcase husband Clint’s photography from Montana and around the world. Beginning in 2008, Alisha assumed the role of Publisher with His & Hers Magazine Group, overseeing sales in the Flathead Valley. Like her husband, Clint, Alisha is also an avid flyfisherman and can regularly be found chasing trout or their energetic children along the rivers’ edge.

Richard Morton – Director of Production Services

Richard was born in Burbank, California. The family shortly moved a bit south to the Signal Hill/Long Beach area and spent the next few decades there. Richard attended Long Beach City College, graduating from there with an Associate Degree in Science in 1987. Richard was then accepted and attended California State University – Long Beach, completing coursework towards a degree in Geological Sciences.

From 1987 to 2001, Richard worked full time in various capacities at several small businesses serving the Environmental Consulting industry in Southern California. Starting out at the bottom as office assistant/field support, he worked his way up eventually to the position of Office Manager, overseeing all fieldwork for the company and training new personnel in proper field procedures. Richard also obtained a California Registered Environmental Assessor certification (one of the few people at the time to be granted certification based on documented field experience rather than simply holding a 4-year degree), and was responsible for all Phase I Environmental Assessment Reports prepared by his office.

In 2001, deciding it was time for a change from the Big City and Life In The Fast Lane (not that any lane moves that fast in Southern California…) Richard pulled up stakes and moved to beautiful Central Oregon, where he had been vacationing for many years. Shortly after moving, he obtained an administrative position with Visitor’s Choice, and over the past 6 years has worked his way from Administrative Assistant to Project Coordinator to Director of Production Services.

Richard’s interests include geology (all that school work has to be good for something), photography, and travel. If you look close, you might even catch some of his photos in different Visitor’s Choice publications. He is happily married to Holly, his wife of 3 years, and they are currently parenting Spike (their neurotic, co-dependent dog with severe separation anxiety…), Casper (the friendly cat, the friendliest cat you’ll know…) and Phydeaux (their hissy 15 year old cat that doesn’t get along with the neurotic dog…and yes, it’s pronounced “Fido”).
